However, the timer can also be adapted by the user to his needs or times. Thus, it is for
example reasonable in case of car park lighting to fully switch on the system on change of
shifts and set it back in times between the change.
7.2.3 Control via Binary Inputs
In case of systems without timer, the user has to control this process himself. The inputs 2

are available at terminal X20 for this purpose. It is possible to adjust the logic of the
inputs (high = 1 or low = 1) by Thyro-Tool E in the power controller.

The advantage of the negative logic is that the highest stage is automatically adjusted if the
control line loosens (e.g. due to an error), while it would result in a disconnection of the
lighting system with a positive logic.
Standard setting is the positive logic.
7.2.4 Pulse
Inhibitor
It is possible to use the pulse inhibitor (bridge X2.1 – X2.2 at the power controller Thyro-A 3A
230-xxx HRLP) to switch the lighting system completely on or off. As this switching would
also take place contactless, the life of the contactor would be significantly increased.
Caution !
Thyristor power controllers are not devices to be used for disconnecting for
the purpose of DIN VDE 0105 T1 and may only be operated in connection
with appropriate mains isolator connected in series (e.g. switch, circuit
breaker, etc.).
The contactor connected in series must be used; however, it can also be switched “idle”.
7.3 Messages
Generally, messages are performed via LED, relay, Thyro-Tool E, or via the bus system. It
can be adjusted via the Thyro-Tool E if a message should be read out via the relay.
