UPnP Server
Setup of the server
In Windows XP, install e.g. Windows Media Connect as UPnP server,
and Windows Media Player.
After first installation, the Media Player will create a directory of all
media files on your PC.
Then select the menu item “Media Player“ followed by “UPnP
Server“ using the control knob “SCROLL/ENTER” (3) on the IR 4430.
The device will search for UPnP servers and display your server (or
a list of all servers found, or “No PCs found“ if no server has been
detected).
Select the UPnP server; the message “Access denied“ will appear.
In Media Player on your PC, a message will show up indicating that a
device has attempted to access the UPnP server.
In Windows Media Player on the tab “Directory“, open the window
for sharing media. The IR 4430 will be shown there with the name
assigned during the initial operation.
Click “Allow“ and “OK”.
The IR 4430 has then access to your UPnP server.
The device will remember a once detected UPnP server, i.e., when
switching the device on the next time, the access to the server will be
facilitated much faster.
Playback of audio files

server. (“Music”, “Playlists” etc.)
Successively select from the categories and sub-categories (e.g.
“Album”) until a list of music files is displayed.
Select the desired file. The device displays “Add to playlist“.
Press the control knob “SCROLL/ENTER” (3) again. The file will be
played back and added to the playlist.
