BIOS Setup

Determines which DMA channel the parallel port should use when it
is in ECP mode. The ECP mode uses the DMA protocol to achieve
data transfer rates of up to 2.5 Mbits/s and provides symmetric bidi-
rectional communications.

This item allows you to select the type of Power Management:
Options: Disabled, Legacy, APM, or ACPI.

Standby Mode (**PM Timers**):

when "Legacy" is enabled in the Power Management menu.
Standby mode conserves power by turning off the display and the
hard drive after a predetermined period of inactivity (a time-out).
