5.5.6 Set FC Link Speed
There are three modes of operation for FC: 1 Gbit/s, 2 Gbit/s, and
4 Gbit/s. It is important to match the speed of the port with the
speed of the loop or fabric to which the port is attached.
LSI has implemented AutoNegotiation on the 2 Gbit/s-capable,
Fusion-MPT devices. If you are experiencing difficulty with the
AutoNegotiate algorithm on your fabric or loop, or if you wish to set
or show the link speed for the adapter manually, use the following
procedure:
Select the port or adapter shown (use the port name your system
assigns):
ok select /pci@8,700000/IntraServer,fc@1
Then enter commands as shown in the following example:
ok show-link-speed
Link speed selected is 1 Gbaud
Current link speed is 1 Gbaud
ok set-link-speed
usage is <link-speed> set-link-speed
NOTE:
NOTE:
The system must be power cycled before the changes take
effect. It is not sufficient to execute the reset-all command.

NOTE:
The OpenBoot BIOS provides help when you enter a com-
mand that does contain the proper arguments. In this case,
OpenBoot responds with:
