4.0 Connecting PTZ Domes
The Rapid Eye PLUS remote video System Operator Software supports
Javelin, Pelco, and Kalatel PTZ (pan, tilt, and zoom) dome. The PTZ feature
allows you to control and adjust a PTZ dome to pan, tilt, and zoom different
views of your site(s). Refer to the Rapid Eye Video System Operator
Software User Guide for instructions on adjusting the PTZ dome using the
software controls.

Note: There is a support limit of one type of PTZ per Remote Video
Unit.
The installation procedure consists of installing the PTZ units, followed by
connection to the RS-232/485 Converter and the Rapid Eye PLUS remote
video Unit. The domes are then designated with unique addresses via the
Rapid Eye Operator software. Once enabled by the software, the units can be
controlled for pan, tilt, and zoom operation.
