Warnings

Handle  the  indicator  carefully  and  always  remember  that  it  is  a  precision  measuring
instrument.

Do not expose the indicator to high temperatures, or next to adjacent equipment or sunlight.
The liquid crystal display may suffer damage.

Use the indicator at constant ambient temperatures and avoid use in a draught.

Keep the indicator away from sources of electromagnetic radiation, as these may alter the
measurement results.

Never clean the indicator with harsh or abrasive cleaners. The housing thereby loses its
shiny surface and is more susceptible to dirt.

If the indicator is not used over a longer period of time, it should be cleaned and stored with
a protective film. The addition of a drying agent is desirable.

Once the battery symbol

for a low battery level appears in the display, the battery must

be charged immediately.

Before  connecting,  make  sure  that  the  power  mentioned  on  the  nameplate  matches  the
local power grid.

When not using the indicator, the batteries must be charged every month. After use, they
should be fully charged.

Storage of the indicator in a discharged state leads to a shorter battery life.

If the scale is officially certified, it may not be brought into use with a damaged verification
seal (see recalibration)!

Quality features

ADE applies the relevant EC Directives and European standards in order to offer equipment worldwide
according to the latest state of the art and with a long service life.

Certified  scales  bear  this  symbol  in  accordance  with  precision  class  III  of  the
European Directive for calibration.

Scales  bearing  this  symbol  are  subjected  to  EU-calibration,  approved  in  the
European Union for calibrated weighing and meet the highest quality standards.

Products with this symbol meet the requirements of:

The directive for non-automatic weighing instruments

The EC Directive relating to electromagnetic compatibility and

The Low Voltage Directive

in their current versions.

Use of the scale in legal metrology

The indicator may be used with appropriate weighbridges for calibrated weighing, if it is calibrated. The
scale  must  be  calibrated  in  accordance  with  laws  and  regulations.  The  requirements  specified  in  the
calibration directive, as amended, are met.
