bought a luggage-scale featuring highest technical standard and well-proven quality.
Please read this instruction manual prior to the start-up and keep it careful to have this
information on hand whenever needed.
1. Preparation for use
Insert batteries:
To insert the battery extract the battery holder down left at the scale. Insert the supplied
battery (1 x CR2032) into the recess and then push the battery holder with battery back
into the scale. Please ensure the correct polarity of the batteries (+/-).

Within 3 seconds after insertion of the battery a beep tone sounds and at first “ HELLO“
and shortly after “ 0.0 kg” will be displayed.
Safety guidelines:
Clean the scale only by using a slightly damp cloth. Do not use solvents or abrasive
cleaning agents. Do not submerge the scale under water.
2. Handling
Operate the scale:
1. To switch-on push the little black key (ON-key) top left at the scale. At first, the LCD
display will indicate “ HELLO” . Hold the scale in a vertical state. Within 3 seconds,
after the scale levelled-off a beep tone sounds and “ 0.0 kg” will be displayed. Now
the scale is ready to use.
2. While the scale is switched-on (indication „ 0.0 kg“ ) hang the luggage in the provided
hanger and lift up the scale together with luggage. As soon as the indication is
stable, a beep tone sounds and the weight of the luggage as well as the symbol “ H”
(hold) will appear in the display. For a comfortable reading of the weight, you can
now put down the luggage. After 60 seconds the scale switch-off automatically.
3. To reset the scale and weigh further luggage push the ON-key. A beep tone sounds
and the scale returns to “ 0.0 kg“ . The scale is now ready for further weighing
procedures.
Units of weight (kg / lb):
To change the unit of weight switch-on the scale. While the display indicates „ HELLO“
quickly push again the ON-key. In this way you can select between kg = kilogram or lb =
pound. Please pay attention to use the scale under consideration of your country specific
unit of weight.
Tare-func tion:
Hang for example a container on the scale. Upon the weight is indicated (a beep tone
sounds and the symbol “ H” appears down left in the display) push the ON-key to set the
indication again to zero. Place the object to be weighed in the container. The indicated
weight now is the weight of the object only. This process is repeatable until the max.
capacity of the scale (55 kg) has been reached.
Automatic- / manua l switch-off the scale
If the indicated weight does not change within 60 seconds, the scale will automatically
switch-off. To save the battery you can switch-off the scale manually by pushing the ON-
key.
3. Error Messages
Battery is used up - Please replace the battery with the
intended type (1 x CR2032).
“ ERR“ =
Overload - The weight exceeds the maximum capacity of
55 kg. Please immediately remove the critical load to avoid
load cell damage.

5. Warranty
ADE warrants for a period of 3 years from the date of purchase that it will remedy any
defects due to faulty material or workmanship free of charge by repair or replacement.
When purchasing, please have the warranty coupon signed and stamped by the dealer.
When making a guarantee claim, please return the scale together with the guarantee card
including the reason of complaint to your dealer.
