12707 Resistivity Chamber for Liquid Sample Operation Manual
3.5 Measurement
3.5 Measurement
Perform measurement in accordance with the operation manual of each measuring instrument.
In insulation resistance measurement, VSIM (voltage source current measurement) is generally
conducted to obtain the resistance value by R=V/I.
Resistance values can be read directly on the 8340A and the 8252. However, on other electro-
meters, resistance values need to be converted from measured values.
3.5.1 Setting
the
8340A
Procedure:
(1)
Set the IM/RM switch to RM.
(2)
Press the V SOURCE SET key to set the applied voltage.
(3)
Pressing the OPERATE key will apply the setting voltage.
(4)
Pressing the MEASURE key will start measurement. Discharge or charge the sample if
necessary.
3.5.2 Setting
the
8240
Procedure:
(1)
Turn the D GUARD to ON.
(2)
Set the function to A DC (DC current measurement).
(3)
Set the voltage source to OPERATE to apply the setting voltage.
(4)
To charge the sample, apply the setting voltage in the 20 mA range.
The input resistance is approximately 30
Ω
at this time.
(5)
To discharge the sample, set the setting voltage to 0 V in the 20 mA range.
