STS-1 P

Table 7 on page 25 gives a summary of all the configuration options for the
transport configuration screen. Table 8 on page 25 describes the primary
transport states.

To configure the STS-1 port, select the Config menu, choose Transport, and
then perform the following tasks.
1 Set Primary State to OOS-A using the , then press .
2 Type the transmit path trace string (SONET path name).
3 Set the Data Communications Channel (DCC) to ON.
4 Set Loopback to NONE.
Do not configure the transport as OOS-M or OOS-A when it is
selected as a clock synchronization source.
