Changing Your Backup Settings
To add items to the Exclude list:

Open the Advanced Settings window (see
), then click
the
Exclude
tab.

In the Exclude Files box, type an item name, including the path
to the item.
Item names are case insensitive and can include up to two
standard wild card characters (* and ?).
Type only a path name to exclude all files in a certain folder.

Add

The item appears in the Exclude list, with a description of

selected file
.
You can edit the Exclude list by using the
Change
,
Remove
, and
Clear All
buttons. You can also launch Windows Explorer to
drag and drop files that you want to add.

To exclude files by size, select
Exclude files larger than
..., then
type in the file size in MB. (Leave this option deselected if you
don’t want to place size limits on backups.)
The
Prompt if...
box is selected by default. Unless you deselect
this box, Adaptec File Saver sends you a message whenever a
file is over the size limit. If you deselect
Prompt if...
, Adaptec
does not send you this message and the file is not backed up.

Next
, then click
Finish
.
The change takes effect immediately.
