Powering the handheld
The Juno T41 handheld contains a rechargeable Lithium‐ion polymer battery.
Note –
Charge the battery completely before using the handheld for the first time. If the battery has been
stored for longer than six months, charge it before use. ACURA recommends charging the battery for four
hours connected to a wall charger to recharge it fully.
Note –
Cold temperatures, or using Bluetooth wireless technology, Wi‐Fi consume additional battery
power and so shortens battery life between charges.
Charging the battery
CAUTION
‐ The battery is designed to stop operating at or above 65 °C (149 °F ). If this status icon
appears,
the battery has overheated to 60 °C (140 °F) or more.
If the battery temperature exceeds 70 °C (158 °F), the battery will be disabled and the device must be sent to an
Authorized Service Provider to have it replaced.
Operating Temperature Range: ‐30 °C to 60 °C (‐22 °F to 140 °F).
Storage Temperature Range: ‐40 °C to 70 °C (‐40 °F to 158 °F). Do not exceed the specified storage temperature.
1. Connect the AC power adaptor cable to the power socket on the handheld:
a. Loosen the thumbscrews on the AC power adaptor cable.
b. Snap the connection on the cable into place on the handheld's power socket, until it holds
in place. Tighten the thumbscrews.
2. Connect the USB end of the power cable to the AC charger.
3. Connect the adaptor to main power. An international adaptor kit is provided with the
handheld.
4. Check that the Charge / Notification LED on the handheld is solid amber, indicating that the
handheld is properly connected to the power source and the battery is charging.
Fully charging the battery from empty takes approximately four hours when connected to a wall
charger. ACURA recommends charging with the wall charger for the most efficient charging.
The Charge / Notification LED on the handheld indicates the battery power or charging status, and
operating system notifications, as shown below:

Solid amber
Battery is charging.
Flashing amber
Battery is charging, operating system notification; or, operating
system notification, battery is not charging.
Solid red
Low battery charge.
