Spark Plugs
7. Torque the spark plug to 16 lb-ft
(22 N.m). (If you do not have a
torque wrench, tighten the spark
plug one-quarter turn after it
contacts the cylinder head.)
Tighten the spark plugs carefully. A
spark plug that is too loose can
overheat and damage the engine.
Overtightening can cause damage to
the threads in the cylinder head.
8. Install the spark plug cap. Install
and tighten the two hold-down
bolts to 8.7 lb.ft (12 N.m).
9. Reconnect the spark plug cap to
the wire harness.
10. After changing the three spark
plugs on each side, reinstall the
spark plug covers, bolts and nuts.
Tighten the bolts and nuts to 8.7 Ib.ft
(12 N.m).
