Taking a Dose using your PUFFClicker
Different Inhalers need to be taken using different techniques to ensure
they have maximum effect. Make sure to check the correct technique for
the type of inhaler that you use by going to the
Lessons
(only available in
the
Asthma
+
me
App
).
If you use a pMD inhaler you should always use a spacer to make sure as
much of the medication as possible gets into your lungs where it is most
needed. You should
shake
your inhaler before each dose.
If you have an
Activ8rlives
PUFFClicker
it is designed to buzz once if your
inhaler has been shaken.
After each breathe, wait for 30 seconds
or until
the progress bar on the
Activ8rlives
PUFFClicker
has counted down after
each puff before shaking for the next puff.
If you have already paired your
Activ8rlives
PUFFClicker
to the
Asthma
+
me
App
or the
Activ8rlives
4
Wellness App
, you can
record a puff count, even when you do not have your Smartphone with
you. The
Activ8rlives
PUFFClicker
holds this in memory until it uploads
when near your Smartphone or Tablet.
