2.5 RS-422/485 Termination
The standard AP512 modules do not have 120ohm termination resistors
installed on either the line drivers or receivers. For modules with built-in
termination please consult the factory.
2.6 Isolation
The RS-485 ports are individually isolated from digital circuitry and from
each other. They maintain 250V working (AC rms or DC) of isolation from
digital and 100V working (AC rms or DC) isolation from each other.
Note : Not all AcroPack carriers are able to maintain this level of isolation.
Consult the AcroPack carrier documentation for supported isolation
voltages.
2.7 Logic Interface Connector
The AP module logic edge connector interfaces to the mating connector on
the carrier board. The pin assignments of this connector are standard for all
AP modules according to the PCI Express MINI Card Electromechanical
Specification, REV 1.2 (with exceptions shown in
Table 2.2 and noted
below).
Threaded metric M2.5 screws and spacers are supplied with the AP carriers
to provide additional stability for harsh environments (see carrier
documentation for assembly details).
