Chapter 3

Removing the Main Board

Release the screws in a crisscross pattern, making each screw partially loosened. Repeat the
steps to finally remove all screws on the second round.

Removing any screw entirely in one

time can damage the CPU and the socket because of the pressure of the spring coils.

Disconnect the CPU fan cable.

Release the eight screws.

Disconnect the cable of front panel USB one.

Disconnect the cable of front panel USB two.

Disconnect the 1394 cable.

Disconnect the audio jack cable.

Finally detach the main board.
