Removing the CPU
1.
Release the CPU cover lock and reverse it as shown.
2.
Open the CPU cover.
3.
Detach the CPU carefully because the socket contains pins that are fragile and can be
damaged easily.
Grease (in the surface at the splatter)
Note: When heat sink is removed from CPU, wipe off the
thermal diffusion grease and put new silicon compound to
the place shown in the figure.
Thermal diffusion grease : silicon compound (G-765) 90G
Amount to apply : 0.5g (as the same size as the tip of a
match) (Pentium 4)
*Take care not to apply the grease to any other places
because it has high conductivity.
