System Security
The Setup program has a number of security features to prevent unauthorized
access to the system and its data.
The following screen appears if you select System Security from the Main menu:
System Security
Setup Password ................. [None]
Power-on Password .............. [None]
Operation Mode ............... [Normal]
Disk Drive Control
Floppy Drive ................. [Normal]
Hard Disk Drive .............. [Normal]
2.10.1 Setup Password
The Setup Password prevents unauthorized access to the BIOS utility.
To set or change a Password:

Make sure that JP3 is set to 2-3 (bypass password). See Figure 1-2 for the
location of JP3.
You cannot enter the BIOS utility if a Setup
password does not exist and JP3 is set to 1-
2
(password check enabled).
By default, JP3 is set to 2-3 (Bypass
password).
