The Omnisound
®
3000C Pro contains the most advanced automatic testing system of any ultrasound system
available. The microprocessor system enables the unit to provide high level auto-diagnostics while displaying
corrective action programs to the clinician. Every time you turn on the Omnisound
®
3000C Pro the system performs
a sequence of automatic tests.
1.
The system verifies that the transducer is connected. If it is not, it informs you to turn off the system and
connect the transducer to the Main output connector. If both transducers are connected the main transducer will
be selected.

Omnisound
®
3000C Pro transducers contain their calibration data in the transducer handle and auto enable
when switched between units or when replaced.

Once you have passed these tests the system will begin an automatic self test. The following tests are performed:
a.
The transducer cable and R.F. output system are dynamically tested at 1MHz ultrasound frequency. RF
voltage and current are checked to ensure cable integrity and R.F. System function. If this test fails, the
transducer cable, crystal or R.F. system will require replacement or repair. The system and transducer can
only be repaired at the factory.
b.
When all systems pass the auto test, the microprocessor allows the user to access the main run screen which
appears automatically.
