10 Faults and troubleshooting
Observe the attached “Warranty” document. In the event of any questions and/or problems,
please contact your retailer or the manufacturer.
DANGER
Risk of injury and device damage when handled by unauthorized persons
Improper repair work and modifications to the product may lead to serious injuries and
damage to the device. The product warranty will be rendered invalid if work is carried out on
the product by unauthorized persons.
• Only qualified personnel are permitted to perform work on the device or system.
NOTICE
• Consult the documentation for the welding components.
Fault Cause Troubleshooting
Torch neck is hot
• Contact tip is not tight • Check and tighten
• Contact tip on the torch side and
toward the workpiece is loose
• Check and tighten
• Coolant flow too low • Check the cooling system.
Button does not
work
• Control lead interrupted/defective • Check/repair
• Flow control in the coolant
recirculator has triggered
• Check the coolant level and top up if
necessary
Burned-on wire in
the contact tip
• Incorrect parameter set • Check and correct setting as needed
• Worn contact tip • Replace
Uneven wire feed
• Spiral liner/PA liner clogged • Clean in both directions with compressed
air. Replace if necessary
• Contact tip and wire diameter do
not match
• Replace the contact tip
• Incorrectly set contact pressure at
the wire feeder
• Correct as per manufacturer’s
specifications
Arc between
gas nozzle and
workpiece • Spatter bridge between contact tip
and gas nozzle
• Clean gas nozzle interior and inject
