Remove the plastic guard, by removing two screws. Then unhook the spring clip.

The strut is now free to hang from the top.

Remove the top cover from the controller, mounted at the top of the machine. With the

POWER OFF

, disconnect the ribbon cables, which are the motor and encoder

connections. Depending on model will determine if clamps fitted or not.
