Procedure
This procedure is valid for:

Alere Afinion
™
AS100 Analyzer with software version 3.09 or higher.
•
Afinion
™
2 Analyzer
If the Alere Afinion Data Connectivity Converter (ADCC) is connected to the
Alere Afinion AS100 Analyzer, it should be disconnected before upgrading the SW.

Switch off the Afinion analyzer
•
Insert the Afinion USB Flash Drive into one of the
two available USB ports at the back of the analyzer.
•
Switch on the analyzer and follow the instructions
on the touch screen.

The software upgrade takes 4-5 minutes.

Remove flash drive
to restart.
•
When the SW upgrade is finished, remove the
Afinion USB Flash Drive from the USB port at the
back of the analyzer.
•
The analyzer will automatically restart and the
new software version will be visible in the upper
left corner of the display. The self-test will be
performed. Do not turn the analyzer off before the
self-test is finished.
•
The analyzer is now upgraded with the newest
software version.
Troubleshooting
If the SW upgrade fails or the analyzer is giving
Self-test error - Analyzer in
non-operative mode, follow the instructions below:
•
Switch off the analyzer by pulling out the plug from the power socket.
•
Restart the analyzer and follow the SW upgrade procedure.
•
If the SW upgrade fails again, contact your local Afinion supplier.
Consult the Afinion analyzer User Manual for detailed instructions on how to
operate the analyzer.

instrumentet.

Instrumentet vil automatisk genstarte, og den nye
software-version vil kunne ses i displayets øverste
venstre hjørne. Selvtesten vil blive udført. Sluk ikke
for instrumentet, før selvtesten er afsluttet.
•
Instrumentet er nu opgraderet med den nyeste
softwareversion.
Fejlfinding
Hvis softwareopgraderingen mislykkes, eller instrumentet kommer med meddelelsen
Fejl i selvtest - Instrument i ikke-operativ modus, skal man følge instruktionerne
herunder:
•
Sluk for instrumentet ved at trække stikket ud af kontakten.
•
Genstart instrumentet, og følg softwareopgraderingsproceduren.
•
Kontakt din lokale Afinion-leverandør, hvis softwareopgraderingen
mislykkes igen.
