Connectivity options
5.2.1
Remote SHUT DOWN (EPO)
The REMOTE SHUT DOWN must use a normally closed contact, which opens to operate the remote
shut down sequence. Usually the shutdown procedure is disabled and it should be activated by a
Hardware Code on “Setup Service” menu”. Please contact your distributor to enable this operation.
NOTE
THE UPS IS PROVIDED WITH AN “EMERCENCY BYPASS” WHICH IS
AUTOMATICALLY ENABLED IN CASE OF A SINGLE MODULE
CONFIGURATION. IN THIS CASE THE EPO WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY
DISABLED AND MUST BE ACHIEVED IN THE BUILDING/FACILITY. THE
FACIULITY EPO MUST OPEN THE BYPASS PATH.
The remote shutdown terminals are on the input interfaces X1, pin 7 and 8.
In order to allow removal, maintenance or testing of any remote shut down facility without disturbing
the normal operation of the UPS, it is recommended that a terminal block, be installed between the
UPS and the emergency stop button, as shown in Fig. 13. Use a screened cable with 1 pair (section of
wires can be chosen from 0.5 to 1.5mm2) and maximum length of 100 m. The Switch must be a
normally closed (dry contact).

5.2.2
Generator on facilities
The Generator ON facility must use a normally open contact that closes to indicate that a generator is
running and supplying input power to UPS. The remote Generator ON terminals are on the input
interfaces X1, pin 1 and 2.
When used, this facility disables the UPS static bypass and prevents the UPS from transferring the load
on to the generator power supply and/or block the battery charger during the time the UPS is supplied
from the genset.
