For longer distances, the Orion laser pointer (available as accessory) can be attached to the active or the passive unit 
in order to obtain the best alignment (see Figure 26).

6.1  Alignment mode 

The Alignment mode is activated by pushing the external NC contact (RESET/ACKNOWLDGE/RESET MODE push-
button) for at least 0.5 s at power on, see Figure 27.

Once the optimal alignment has been reached, the device is returned to normal function by turning the active unit off 
and on.  

NB: The OSSD outputs are off in alignment mode. 

6.2  Correct alignment procedure 

The alignment is performed after having completed the mechanical installation and the electrical connections as 
described above. Compare alignment results with those given in the following table.

 

Enter the alignment mode as described above. 

In alignment mode, the display informs the user of the level of alignment reached.
