7.3.5.  Unsuccessful closing operation

This function is always active. It performs in case
of wrong position an autotrip function. This

operation checks the correct position of the
sensors at the end of the operations (after 95ms

from the starting of the current injection in

magnetic actuators).
If the position is incorrect (i.e. both position

sensors off = intermediate position) an automatic

open (autotrip) is performed. If this opening is not
performed correctly the status go to NOT READY

and no other operation is allowed.

After 10 autotrip operations the Ready LED is
turned off and the unit go in NOT READY
condition. In this case it is necessary to reset the
unit (remove the auxiliary supply and discharge
the capacitors).

Opening failed: Other opening operations will be

launched until the opening inputs remain active.

Closing failed: An Auto-Trip opening is performed.
For another closing attempt it is necessary to

reactivate the closing signal.

Note: The memory of the number of operations is
only reset after disconnection of power supply

and discharge of the capacitor bank.
Even after one successful operation the
unsuccessful operation counter is continuing to
increment the counter.

7.3.6.  Valid signal window

A LOCAL or REMOTE opening & closing signals are
accepted on rising edge.

7.3.7.

7.  Assembly & Commissioning

The above table is valid when the UV

function is

enabled

.

Note: When the UV function is

disabled

, the

UV input is always High.

7.3.8.  Auxiliary Voltage Interruption (auxiliary

voltage for the capacitor charge)

Approximately one second after a voltage
interruption, a corresponding signal occurs over

the signal outputs S5 or S7 (compare with a valid

diagram).
It is then possible to open the apparatus, by
means of remote signals or by using local push

buttons, within approximately

1.5 - 2 minutes

After expiry of this time period, the apparatus can

then only be opened manually with the help of the

manual tripping crank.

7.3.9.  Manual Operation

For a manual disconnection, the emergency crank

is to be used. It is not suitable for storing

outdoors and should be kept with the accessories
of the corresponding switchgear installation.

The apparatus can only be switched off

manually, but not switched on
