7.2.3. High-Voltage connections
The connection of the high-voltage lines must be carried out in such a way that the forces from thermal
expansion or line weight do not exceed the specified values. For this, either flexible connections or cable
supports are to be provided.
Max. force on the high-voltage terminals in the 3 main loading axes: Fmax <30Kg.
The high-voltage terminals are factory mounted. The orientation is choosen by the customer or in default position
(43 for unipolar, 43 & 34 for bipolar – see layouts for details). The following figure shows the possible terminal
orientations with their respective descriptions.
For the installation of 100% copper supply line connections, a special Al-Cu bimetal must be used to
protect the Al high-voltage terminals against corrosion

Important!
If the customer decides to change the orientation of the connections, he has to take the following precautions:
−−−−
Tools: Torque wrench M12= 92Nm / Abrasive paper / Solvent / Contact grease.
−−−−
After disassembling step, ensure the loosen parts (screws & washers) are in a safe and tidy place &
will not be lost
−−−−
With copper connections, use solvent to clean the contact surfaces, apply a thin layer of grease and
then mount the connections with the screws.
−−−−
With Aluminium connections, you have less than 1 minute after cleaning to avoid oxidation. Abrade
the contact surfaces & clean them with solvent, apply a thin layer of grease and then mount the
connections with the screws.
