DCGear is air-insulated metal enclosed switchgear
assembly, with rated operating voltage of DC
1800 V and below. And it’s installed indoor, it’s
mainly used as DC power distribution in DC traction
power supply system, realizing monitoring and
controlling of the equipments such as feeder,
contact line and contact rail, and bus communication
of upper monitoring equipment.
This manual is not intended to describe all the
details or the possible variations of the equipment,
or to cover all possible contingencies that may
occur during the installation, use or maintenance.
If you want more information or you encounter
any particular problems that are not fully processed,
it is therefore strongly recommended to consult
both relevant project specific technical documents
and your nearest sales office.

1.1 Introduction and safety

The paintings DCGear have been designed to
be compliant with IEC, EN and GB standards.
The correct application and proper operation
of this equipment depends not only on the careful
design and manufacture also upon proper
installation and maintenance by the user.
The purpose of this manual is to assist the user
in the main operations of installation, use and
maintenance of the appliance.
1.1.2 Qualified personnel
For the purposes of this manual, it means a Qualified
Person who has experience in the installation, use
and maintenance of the equipment and knowledge
of the risks inherent therein.
In addition, this person must have the following
qualifications.
•
Experience in feeding, always disconnect and
connect to the ground circuits and equipment,
all in accordance with the provisions of the
applicable safety regulations
•
Experience in the use of protective equipment
such as rubber gloves, hard hat, safety glasses,
protective clothing, etc.., In accordance with the
provisions of the applicable safety regulations
•
Experience in providing first aid
1.1.3 Security advisories
The notices DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION,
used in this manual are intended to indicate the
degree of hazard to which the user equipment may
suffer. These signals are defined as follows:

DANGER- Indicates a high-risk situation which,
if not avoided, could result in death
or serious injury
•
WARNING- Indicates a potentially high-risk
situation which, if not avoided, could
result in death or serious injury
•
CAUTION- Indicates a potentially hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, could
result in injury and/or damage to
property
1.1.4 Safety requirements
In addition to the specific procedures described
in this manual during the installation and
maintenance, always apply the following
precautions:
•
Always work with main and auxiliary circuits
de-energized, unless expressly stated otherwise
•
Follow the steps again with the switch open and
the springs discharged, unless expressly stated
otherwise
•
Do not tamper with the safety interlock or safety
mechanisms
