Kit Change
Change the complete SA Reagent Kit if one or both Rinse A and Rinse B are empty in the
Reagent Kit, or if the Reagent Kit has been installed for over 2 months. The SA software
automatically alerts when Rinse A and/or Rinse B are empty or disconnected in the Warning
and Error Handling Table:

Check reagent tubing first to verify the tubes have not been disconnected. Select the Kit Change
button in the Maintenance section and follow instructions on the pop-up screen.
After the new Reagent Kit has been primed by the analyzer, the SA will indicate the reagents
are ready to use. The SA automatically records the Reagent Kit install date, and the initiates the
2 month expiration countdown for the Reagent Kit on the left side of the Tools screen. If the
Reagent Kit is used past its 2 month open expiration time, the SA software automatically alerts
that the kit is expired and a new Reagent Kit needs to be installed with an alert in the Warning
and Error Handling Table:

: Reagents are lot specific, do not transfer Rinse bottles between Reagent Kits. To avoid
reagent contamination, do not transfer reagents between bottles.
Empty Waste Container
The Waste Container must be emptied when full to continue testing. The SA software will
automatically alert the user when this is required with a popup and an alert in the Warning and Error
Handling Table:

Waste container is full

This error appears when the float on the cap of the waste container is lifted. Empty the waste
container and click “Retry” on the software on the error warning popup. Before disposing of
waste from the VETSCAN SA, consult your local waste disposal regulations and the VETSCAN
SA Reagent Kit SDS/MSDS for recommendations.
