Connecting a Home Theater
External devices may have different connecting terminals
Connecting a Home Theater
Connect the
[Digital Audio Output]
at the back of the TV
and the
[Digital Audio input]
terminal of the DVD Home
Theater (or AV amp) using an optical digital sound cable.
Press
MUTE
to turn off the sound of the TV, or set the
[Internal Speaker] to [Off].(Refer to p.66)

■ See the amplifier
instructions for
connecting the speakers
and the DVD Home
Theater or AV Amp.
■ Connect the [Digital
Audio output] terminal at
the back of the TV to the
DVD Home Theater or
AV Amp to view digital
broadcasts using 5.1
channel speakers.
Watching a DVD title with Home Theater

Turn on the TV and press the
INPUT
button to select [COMPONENT1] or
[COMPONENT2].
If [COMPONENT] mode is not selected, check if the component cable is connected
properly.

Turn on the DVD Home Theater and test it by playing a DVD title.

the DVD video input.
■ To connect a TV and a DVD Home Theater using an
HDMI cable, press the [INPUT] button to select (HDMI).
