TERMINATING USE OF THE RESPIRATOR IN A
HAZARDOUS ATMOSPHERE MAY RESULT IN
SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.
REINSTALLING THE JETTISON CLIPS
The Self Rescue Accessory can be reinstalled onto the SCBA by reattaching
the jettison clips as follows:
1. First, push the waist belt attachment loops from the rear (waist pad side) of
the backframe through the slots to the front (reducer side) of the backframe.
2. Then, slide the jettison clip onto side of waist belt making sure that:
a. the feet of the jettison clip are threaded through the waist belt loops
on the front side (reducer side) of the backframe; and
b. the tongue plate of the jettison clip is secured behind the rear (waist
pad side) of the backframe. The raised bar on the tongue plate will
snap into the open slot on the backframe when inserted properly.

After the jettison clips are removed, perform a change of profile while maintaining
use of the respirator, OR terminate use of the respirator according to the OPERA-
TION AND MAINTENANCE instructions provided with the respirator. Remove the
regulator, loosen the shoulder straps, and remove the respirator.
DO NOT UNBUCKLE THE WAIST BELT.

instructions and in accordance with your hands-on training.
