(4) If a PDA is used, the data has to transferred to the PDA first and then to the PC for
further processing.
Data transfer to and from the PDA mjust be done in accordance with the PDA's system
instructions.
8.2 Assigning measurements to a location
(1) The downloaded data must be assigned to a location before it can be analyzed with the
software.
Highlight the appropriate location in the “Location List” and open the “Read data from
file” window via “Location” and “Assign data”.
(2) Select and “open” the freshly downloaded .dat file in the data directory - the data will be
allocated to the selected location.

While assigning data downloaded from a DFS to a location new files wer created in a
sub-folder of the data folder. These files can be identified by the extension ".vms" and
there is one file per measured day. The file that was downloaded from the DFS
(extension ".dat") is not needed then anymore.
