The BOS remains in the
Disposing Powder
state
while there’s powder to send. After the sifter stays
empty for more than 2 minutes, the BOS changes
to the
state, then the
state.
Stopping
The BOS enters the
Stopping
state when:

The sifter stays empty for more than 2
minutes while the BOS is any powder transfer
state, such as
or
.
✓
The sifter does not fill up in less than 2
minutes after you press
to perform a
manual powder transfer (from the hopper to
the sifter).

Pressing
turns on the auger and sifter
motors at the bottom of the hopper. When the
BOS enters the
Stopping
state, it stops both
these motors.
After the
Stopping
state, the BOS returns to
BOS in EStop
The BOS enters the
BOS in EStop
state when the
E-Stop button is pressed or when a BOS safety
interlock fails or is disabled. The BOS remains in
this state until the unsafe condition is removed
and either the emergency stop button is reset or
the safety interlock is enabled.
After that, the BOS automatically returns to the
state.

Never try to disable or override
any
BOS safety interlock. Operating the
BOS without all safety interlocks
enabled can cause equipment
damage, injury, or death. If you
suspect a safety interlock is not
working properly, do not operate the
BOS. Rather, disconnect power from
the BOS and contact 3D Systems
