Replacing
the Power Supply
The Extended chassis comes with one power supply. A second power supply can
be installed as a backup. To replace the original power supply in your chassis,
follow the steps in Figure 3-12 and Figure 3-13.
CAUTION:
The following procedure is provided only for qualified service
personnel. There are no user serviceable parts inside the power supply.
WARNING:
Do not open the power supply. It contains hazardous voltages.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside.

It is not necessary to remove the chassis if it is mounted in a rack.
CAUTION:
Installing a new power supply with the power switch in the on
position can result in arcing at the connectors, which can cause damage to the
power supply or the chassis.
