supply from 3Com (see “Obtaining Optional Components” on page 4). To 
connect the local power supply to the Network Jack, please follow these steps:

1

Route the power cable through the strain relief of the Network Jack (as shown in 
the diagram below).

2

Securely mount the Network Jack on a wall.

3

Plug the power cable into the Network Jack.

4

Secure the local power supply and cable to the wall.

5

Plug the local power supply into the power source.

WARNING: Use the local power supply available from 3Com. Failure to do so 
may result in damage to the Network Jack, or may result in a hazardous 
situation.
