The
rmon event
Global Configuration mode command configures an
event. To remove an event, use the no form of this command.

Parameters

— Specifies the event index. (Range: 1-65535)

type
— Specifies the type of notification generated by the device
about this event. Possible values:
none

— If the specified notification type is
trap
, an SNMP
trap is sent to the SNMP community specified by this octet string.
(Range: 0-127 characters)

— Specifies a comment describing this event.
(Range: 0-127 characters)

— Specifies the name of the person who configured this event.
If unspecified, the name is an empty string.
Default Configuration
This command has no default configuration.

Global Configuration mode
Rising
Threshold
A sampled statistic threshold. When the current sampled value is
greater than or equal to this threshold, and the value at the last
sampling interval is less than this threshold, a single event is
generated.
Falling
Threshold
A sampled statistic threshold. When the current sampled value is
less than or equal to this threshold, and the value at the last
sampling interval is greater than this threshold, a single event is
generated.
Rising Event
The event index used when a rising threshold is crossed.
Falling Event
The event index used when a falling threshold is crossed.
Owner
The entity that configured this entry.
