Running Cable Diagnostic
The Switch provides cable diagnostic, which helps you
detect and resolve issues with the attached cables. The
Switch can run four types of cable diagnostic tests:

Basic Diag
■
Pair Swap
■
Pair Polarity
■
Pair Skew
To run any of these tests on a port:

In
Port to Diagnose
, select a port number.

In Type of Diagnosis, select the cable test that you want
to run.

Using the System Tools
The System Tools menu includes five administration
items:
Restart, Configuration,
Upgrade
,
Spanning Tree
and 802.1p Prioritization
.
Restart
Pressing the
Restart the Switch
button has the same
effect as power cycling the unit. No configuration
information will be lost. This function may be of use if
you are experiencing problems and you wish to
re-establish your Internet connection.
