4.5.1  Wireless Wizard: IP Address and DHCP Settings 

Use this screen to configure the wireless interface’s IP address and DHCP settings.

Wireless Wizard: IP Address and DHCP Settings

IP Address

: Enter the IP address for this interface or leave the default. 

IP Subnet Mask

: Enter the subnet mask of this interface in dot decimal notation or leave the 

default. The subnet mask indicates what part of the IP address is the same for all computers in 
the network. 

DHCP

: 

DHCP Server

 has the ZyWALL assign IP addresses and provide subnet mask, 

gateway, and DNS server information to the wireless clients. The ZyWALL is the DHCP 
server for the wireless network. 

None

 has the ZyWALL not be the DHCP server for the 

wireless network. There must be another DHCP server on the wireless network or the wireless 
clients must use static IP addresses.

IP Pool Start Address

: Enter the IP address from which the ZyWALL begins allocating IP 

addresses or leave the default.

Pool Size

: Set how many IP addresses to allocate or leave the default. This number must be at 

least one and is limited by the interface’s subnet mask. For example, if the subnet mask is 
255.255.255.0 and IP Pool Start Address is 10.59.1.33, the ZyWALL can allocate 10.59.1.33 
to 10.59.1.254, or 222 IP addresses.

4.5.2  Wireless Wizard - Finish 

The ZyWALL applies your settings and enables the wireless interface.
