8. PREPARATIONS FOR THE WORK
8.1. CONNECTING THE SPRAYER
The sprayer can be connected to every tractor with a standard three point system categories I
and a right hand transmission (also available as left turning). Attach the bolts on the fork to the
tractor and secure them with a pin.
Danger- you could be squeezed between the sprayer and the tractor
While you are connecting the sprayer to the tractor always turn the tractors machine off. Also
do not move the tractors hydraulic handle. The tractors arms should be lateral stabilized and
secured with a spring pin. Make sure that the pins are not loaded sideways- they could brake.
If the tractors arms are not lateral stabilized, the sprayer could turn over-
danger for people and the machine
When the sprayer is being lifted or lowered, make always sure that no one
is near the machine (1,5m), if not so someone could get hurt.
When the sprayer is being connected, consider the whole weight of it. In
general it is recommended:
1. Putt weights on the front of the tractor
2. Increase the pressure in the tires (consider the tractors manual)).
3. Drive slowly, specially when the tank is full (longer braking distance,
cradling)
4. Be careful when lifting the full sprayer the first time
8.2. P.T.O. CHOICE
For the sprayers ZM 100 and ZM 200 a WALTERSCHEID P.T.O. size W 2100 or W 100 E are
recommended.
8.3. CHOOSING THE RIGHT P.T.O. LENGTH
Lift the sprayer so high that the P.T.O. s' are in the same height- the shortest distance between
them.
