Question
Answer
Why do my brakes squeak?
Squeaking brakes are not a sign of a defect, which is why the
function is usually guaranteed. Your current trip can therefore
be safely completed. Nevertheless, the brakes should then be
properly cleaned and adjusted. We recommend that you visit a
specialist workshop for this. However, the costs for this must
be borne by you.
What tyre pressure should I
set for my tyres?
The tyre pressure is indicated on the side wall of each tyre. The
tyre pressure has to be set accordingly.
How should I care for my
suspension fork and its
shock absorber?
To ensure the functionality of the suspension and shock ab-
sorber systems, a highly effective lubricant (e.g. Brunox)
should be applied in the area of the sealing lips. The lubricant
reduces the “breakaway torque” which is why the systems can
work better.
To do this, first thoroughly clean the sliding tubes of the sus-
pension fork and shock absorber, then coat them with a small
amount of the lubricant.
Attention:
When applying the lubricant, make sure that it does
not come into contact with the brakes. The braking effect can
be lost and there is a risk of injury.
How long will my bike chain
last?
The function of a chain is usually guaranteed up to a maximum
distance of 2000 km to 2500 km. If this range is exceeded, a
chain can become slightly elongated and may damage the
sprocket with further use. For this reason it is recommended
that the chain be replaced at regular intervals. On longer tours
in the mountains, it is advisable to take a spare chain and a
combination tool with a chain riveter so that a damaged chain
can be repaired or replaced quickly.
Why can the display not be
switched on?
Check whether all the plugs between display and controller are
correctly connected.
What should I do if an error
code appears on the dis-
play?
Contact the manufacturer, indicate the error code and de-
scribe the problem.
What causes the fault for
error code 30?
It means that there is a communication error between the dis-
play and the controller. Try to remedy the fault and/or contact
the manufacturer.
