Troubleshooting
Information on remedying faults in electrical components and/or software problems can
be found in 14 Controlling the pedal assistance (Green 1.0 / Z101) / Error code infor-
mation on p. 50 or in 15 Controlling the pedal assistance (Z101+) / Error code information
on p. 56.
Problem

The handlebar can be
twisted
Bolts on the handlebar
and/or stem have come
loose due to vibration
Check all bolt connections on the stem
used to attach the handlebar.
Quick-release fasteners on
the handlebar and/or stem
have come loose due to vi-
bration
Check that all quick-release fasteners of
the handlebar and stem are tight.
My bike has reduced
braking power
Wrong setting
Check your brakes for proper adjust-
ment and have them adjusted, if neces-
sary.
Worn brake parts
Check your brake pads and wheel rim
flanks for wear.
Soiled brake parts.
Thoroughly clean your brake pads and
wheel rim flanks.

My bike is unsteady and
indirect in handling
Bolt connections come

Check all the bolt connections on han-
dlebar, stem and wheel axles.

necessary.

Incorrectly positioned bot-
tom bracket sensor
Make sure that there is a gap of 0.5 to
1.0 mm between the sensor and the
threaded shell of the bottom bracket
and adjust, if necessary.
Soiled bottom bracket sen-
sor
Remove the pedal arm and pull off the
sensor. Then clean the moving parts of
the sensor with compressed air and re-
fit the sensor and pedal arm.
Plug connector from the
sensor plug at the control-
ler loose
Check the plug connector.
