Using the screw clamp
Push the screw clamp (10) down into one
of the screw clamp sockets on the saw and
tighten using the screw (11).
Place the workpiece against the rest, and
secure it using the knob on the screw
clamp.
Mounting on workbench
Before use, the saw should be carefully
mounted on a workbench or similar, so that
it is fully secured. Screw it securely to the
workbench using screws or bolts through
the mounting holes on the base. Remember
to mount the support bars before securing
the saw.
If you need to move the saw often, you
can also mount it on a workstation or a
20 mm sheet of plywood, which can then
be secured to a workbench using screw
clamps.
Settings
Setting the bevel angle
Loosen the knob for the bevel angle (16)
and tilt the saw arm 0-45° to the left, until
the indicator is level with the required
setting on the scale. Retighten the lock
knob.
Setting the mitre angle
Loosen the knob (24) for the mitre angle.
Turn the mitre arm to the right or left, until
the indicator is level with the required
setting on the scale (21). Retighten the lock
knob.
Checking and adjusting the saw arm
Adjust the saw to 0° bevel and 0° mitre.
Lower the saw arm and lock it securely by
pulling the lock pin (6) out and turning it
Place a try square against the saw bench
and saw blade. If they are not at the correct
angle, loosen the counter-nut and screw (32
and 33).
Loosen the knob for bevel angle (16).
Tip the saw arm so that the angle between
the saw blade and saw bench is exactly 90°.
Screw the screw (33) in and secure with the
counter-nut (32).
Loosen the screw on the indicator by the
bevel angle scale (17), set it to 0° on the
bevel angle gauge and retighten it.
Release the saw arm again by pulling the
lock pin out and turning it.
Setting the saw depth
The saw arm must be locked and in the top
position.
Loosen the counter-nut (31) and adjust the
depth adjustment screw (29) against the
depth stop (30)
Retighten the counter-nut.
Make sure that the saw depth is not set so
that the saw blade comes into contact with
the base of the saw.
