Installation & Operation Manual
• Using a small screwdriver loosen the 3 brass screws
on the connection bus.
• Using needle nose pliers or a comparable tool, pull
the power cable wires free from the junction box.
• Loosen the steel screw at the strain relief bracket and
extract the power cable wires.
• Pull the power cable through the knockout to the
exterior of the heater. Dispose of cable appropriately.
WARNING
Do not attempt to use, splice, reuse or repropose the power
cable. Improper use of the cable can cause faulty operation of the
equipment and possible fi re which could result in severe property
damage, injury or loss of life.
•
Feed 120V connection wires from the conduit
through the upper knockout.
• Wire the input according to the illustration below.
Use needle nose pliers or a comparable tool to ensure
that the wires are well seated in the terminal bus.
Please ensure that the:
a
Hot leg is matched with the brown wire on the heater
side.
b
Neutral leg is matched with the blue wire on the
heater side.
c
Ground is matched with the green wire on the heater
side.
• Using a small screwdriver make sure the brass
terminal screws are well secured.
• Pass the slack wires through the strain relief and
secure with 1 screw.
•
Reattach the junction box cover.
• If removed, reinstall the front brace. It is not
advisable to use a power drill or driver.
•
Reinstall the Seal.
• Close and test the heater for proper operation.
