Always be focused when working, take
care to maintain a safe posture at
every time.
Do not use the machine on a slope
steeper than 10°.
Do not work on slippery ground.
The operation of the machine on icy or
snowy ground is forbidden!
Slipping/ stumbling/ falling down are a
frequent cause of severe injuries.
The machine shall be used only by
trained persons.
Non authorized persons, especially
children, shall be kept away from the
work area.
Do not wear loose clothing, long hair
openly or loose jewellery like necklaces
etc. when operating the machine
They might be catched by rotating
parts and cause serious injuries.
Before any maintenance you have to
disconnect the log saw from the power
source. Never use the plugged cable for
transporting or manipulating the ma-
chine.
Use proper safety clothing and devices
when operating the machine (safety
gloves, safety goggles, ear protectors,
safety shoes …)!
The machine may only be operated
outdoors and in good ventilated
rooms.
Wooden dust might contain chemical
substances which have a negative
effect for your health. Workings at the
machine only in good ventilated
working areas!
2.4.1
Remaining risks
Even when you take care of all safety instruc-
tions there are still some remaining risks:
•
Danger of injury for the hands/fingers by
the rotating saw blade during operation.
•
Danger of injury by contact with voltage-
carrying parts.
•
Danger of injury by break and spinning
out of the saw blade or parts of it, espe-
cially at overload.
•
Hearing damages, when the user doesn’t
use any protection.
•
Danger of injury by kickback of the work
piece, spinning out of the work piece or
parts of it.
•
Danger of injury for the eye by spinning
parts, even with safety glasses.
•
Danger by breathing in poisonous dust
from treated materials.
These risks can be minimized when all the
safety instructions are applied, the machine is
maintained carefully.
2.4.2
Evidences about the state of the
work pieces
•
Foreign bodies like nails aren’t allowed to
be in the wood.
•
For each cut you may only put one log on
the table, independent of its dimensions.
Cutting of more than one and bundles of
wood is forbidden!
•
Buckled logs must be laid on the table so
that the outer edge of the buckle points at
the saw blade to decrease keying and
kickback of the logs.
2.4.3
Forbidden usage
•
The machine’s not intended for the opera-
tion under explosive conditions.
•
The operation of the log saw without the
specified safety devices isn’t allowed, dis-
assembly of the safety devices is forbid-
den.
The running machine must always be
looked after!
Before leaving the working area you
have to turn off the machine and wait
till the motor and the saw blade are
standing still.
