17. Are there any wood pieces jammed between the saw blade and the
bench insert?
18. Have all loose workpieces been removed from the saw bench?
19. Have all the setting tools been removed?
20. Wear protective goggles.
Starting and stopping (Fig. 18)
- The saw can be started by pressing the green button (7). Before starting to
saw wait until the saw blade has reached maximum speed.
- To stop the saw, press the red button. The machine is fitted with a switch
with restart protection. In the event of a mains failure the machine will
stop, and restarting is possible only by pressing the start button once
more.
Overload protection
The machine is fitted with an overload protection. Allow the machine to cool
down for at least 30 minutes before switching it on again. For this first press the
black button next to the switch, then press the green button to restart the ma-
chine.
Motor brake
The motor is fitted with a brake. The saw blade must come to a stop in under 10
seconds. If this time is exceeded, the brake must be repaired. The repair must be
carried out at an authorised specialist workshop or at the factory. A saw with a
defective brake must not be used.

Before using the device for the first time
CAUTION! To prevent risks, familiarise yourself with all settings, switch-
es and safety mechanisms of the machine.
Using the angle fence (9)
Where the cross-section is straight (the saw blade is set at an angle of 90° to the
bench) the T-bevel can be used in one of the bench slots. Where the cross sec-
tion is angled (the saw blade is tilted), the T-bevel may be used only in the right-
hand bench slot.
Rip-sawing
When rip-sawing wooden pieces, the parallel fence must be used. Fit the parallel
fence on the left-hand side of the saw bench. With the aid of the scale attached
to the saw bench the parallel fence may be set to the desired dimension. Fasten
the parallel fence by pushing the lever down.
