Reading Display Screen
Power On
When the text 'Power On' is illuminated this indicates that the power is
connected and turned on and that the heater is operating normally.
Boiling Water
When the text 'Boiling Water' is illuminated this indicates that the contents of
the boiling chamber has been brought to boiling point and is being maintained
(normally within 1°C of boiling point). During the initial heat-up the contents of
the boiling chamber may be below boiling point for a period, and during that
period the text 'Boiling Water' will not be illuminated.
Filter Active
When the text 'Filter Active' is illuminated, the filter is operating within the pre-
set filter life-span. At the end of the pre-set filter life-span period, the 'Filter
Active' illumination is turned off and the text 'Change Filter' is illuminated. The
life-span is factory set at 9 months but may be changed to 6 or 12 months
(see page 10).
Change Filter
At the end of the pre-set filter life-span period, the text 'Change Filter' is
illuminated, together with a free call telephone number to dial for service
assistance if required. For reasons of hygiene filters should be replaced
promptly as scheduled, or earlier if unpleasant taste or odour is detected or if
water flow ceases.
Cleaning Case
Do not use strong, corrosive, spray or abrasive cleaners. Clean the case with a
soft cloth or brush and mild soap and water.
