Slide first, the rubber washer and then the brass washer, followed by the nut,
over the plastic tubes from under the sink, and tighten the nut to secure the
carafe filler firmly into place.
Step B - Installing the Chiller
Place the chiller unit into the cupboard with the proposed outlet tap position as
close as possible, to minimise the length of tubing exposed between the chiller
unit and the outlet tap. (The tubing length is limited to 1000mm)
Allow at least 50mm around the chiller unit to permit free airflow. Both the top
and the front of the chiller must remain accessible for servicing purposes.
Step C - Installing the Filter
Position the filter and filter head on the inside of a cupboard wall in a
convenient position as close to the unit as possible but still allowing access
to change the filter. The filter head must be fastened to the cupboard wall
in a position high enough to allow the removal and replacement of the filter
cartridge. Connect a length of John Guest tube from the “To Filter” fitting
on the unit to the inlet side of the filter head. The outlet of the filter head is
connected back to the “From Filter” fitting of the unit. The distance between
the filter head bracket and the chiller unit should not be greater than 1m.
Install the filter to the filter head bracket. The filter should be activated by
running 12 litres of water through the filter prior to connection to the unit.
