AF Gen (if used) is conﬁgured to inject a 100 Hz tone at -18.0 dBm (0.098 Vrms) into the Tx Subtone input as

shown in Figure G-28. If the internal programming is used to generate the CTCSS tone, the AF generator is not

used and the CTCSS tone is generated internally in the transmitter.
