ACCUMULATOR BATTERY
The accumulator battery (1) is located
beneath the front mask of bonnet on the
LH side shield.
The battery cut-off switch (2) is located
on the LH tractor side close to starter
motor.
A - battery connected
B - battery disconnected
If the tractor is out of operation
for a long time, it is necessary to
charge the battery once in three
months at least for the reason of
the battery self-discharging. It is
recommended to disconnect the
battery by means of the battery
cut-off switch, when the tractor is
out of operation.
ACCUMULATOR BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Keep the accumulator battery clean and properly fixed to the vehicle. The fixing
device must not deform the battery case. On polypropylene batteries, the electrolyte
level must not drop below the minimum mark, which is marked on the battery case.
Add distilled water only!
1. Before handling the accumulator, first read the manual!
2. Protect your eyes with glasses or safety shield!
3. The battery electrolyte is caustic agent and for that reason handle it with
extreme care! Rinse the skin if stained and neutralize it with soap and
water, and handle the stained clothing in the same way.
4. Hydrogen is released from electrolyte on electrodes during battery
charging and creates explosive mixture when mixed with air. Therefore it
is forbidden to handle the open fire close to the accumulator during
charging!
5. An explosion might also be caused by a spark created at disconnecting or
releasing of terminal with the charging circuit switched-on!
6. Keep out of reach of children!
7. Discarded battery is ecologically dangerous waste – when buying a new
accumulator, let the old one at the seller’s for charge-free liquidation.
