Headlight Bulb Replacement - FX/FXS
WARNING! Halogen bulbs contain gas under pressure. Handling
a bulb improperly could cause it to shatter into flying glass
fragments, which could result in serious injury. To help avoid
serious injury:
•
Turn the key switch OFF and allow the bulb to cool before
changing the bulb.
•
Leave the key switch OFF until the bulb change is complete.
•
Always wear eye protection when changing a halogen bulb.
•
Avoid touching the glass.
To replace the bulb:
2. Remove the two bolts (A) securing the trim cover above
headlight assembly to the motorcycle.
3. Release and remove the trim cover.
4. Remove the four bolts (B) securing the headlight assembly to
the headlight assembly retaining brackets.
5. Release the headlight assembly.
6. Disconnect the headlight bulb connector (C).
7. Release the headlight bulb sealing boot (D).
