Video Menu
Press the MENU button on the remote con-
trol so that the Setup menu appears, then
press the DOWN arrow button to select the
Video Menu. Or just press the PICTURE but-
ton to instantly access the Video Menu.
Press ENTER to access the Video Menu.
Use the UP/DOWN arrows to select one of
the following options. Your options are:
•
Contrast:
Changes the amount of difference
between black levels and white levels in your
picture.
•
Brightness:
Increases or decreases the
amount of white in your picture.
•
Sharpness:
Raise or lower the definition
of the picture. The lower the level, the
softer the image will appear.
•
Color:
Adjust levels of all colors.
•
Tint:
Adjust the relative amounts of the color
red and green in your picture.
•
Color Temperature:
Set this to Warm for hot-
ter colors such as red, or set to Cool for less
intense colors with more blue.
•
EZ Video:
Choose from a range of options
depending on your viewing situation.
Custom:
This feature allows you to customize
the Contrast, Brightness, Sharpness, Color and
Tint settings for three types of screen sources
(e.g.
Type 1
: DTV-ANT;
Type 2
: Antenna/
Cable 1 and 2, Video1/Video2/Front Video;
and
Type 3:
DVD/VGA [Component/RGB]).
Once you have selected your settings for each
type of source,
Custom
uses the settings you
have manually chosen for each customized
type of video source.
Normal:
The picture quality is pre-optimized
for all three types of video input sources out-
lined above. Normal restores the levels to
their original settings. Settings may vary
depending upon your current source.
Movie:
Adjusts Video settings to enhance
Movie viewing.
Video Game:
Adjusts Video settings to
enhance video games.
Sports:
Adjusts Video settings to enhance
sporting events.
Weak Signal:
Adjusts Video settings to com-
pensate for a weak reception.
Daylight:
Adjusts Video settings for daylight
conditions.
Use the UP/DOWN select your preference and the
LEFT/RIGHT arrows to adjust your preferences.
Press the ENTER button to save your choices and
return to TV viewing.
Once any value in the Video Menu has
been changed, your TV will display the
“Custom” indicator in all settings.
