In order to achieve the best possible results we recommend
using exclusively original Zelmer accessories. They have
been specially designed for this product.
Safety instructions
Please read the entire user manual carefully before
using your appliance.
Make sure you understand all of the information
provided below.
Before using the induction hob, consult the
●
pacemaker manufacturer or a doctor regarding the
proper operation of the pacemaker or other active
implants, as their operation may be disrupted by
the magnetic
fi
eld generated by the induction hob.
This appliance can be used by children aged from
●
8 years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they
are aged from 8 years and above and supervised.
The appliance and its external elements become hot
●
when the hob is operated. Do not touch any heating
elements. Use of the appliance by children below 8 is
only allowed if constantly supervised.

Risk of property damage
Before the
fi
rst use, remove the protective plastic
●
packaging from the hob.
The diameter of the cooking vessel must be at least
●
equal to the diameter of the cooking zone.
Never place food products wrapped in aluminium
●
foil or in aluminium trays on the induction hob as the
aluminium will melt on heating and may damage the
appliance.
Never store any items on the hob. Risk of
fi
re.
●
Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can
●
be dangerous and may result in
fi
re. NEVER try to
extinguish this kind of
fi
re with water. Instead, switch
off the appliance and cover the
fl
ame with a lid,
fi
re
blanket etc.
Do not place empty containers or cookware on the
●
appliance.
Never use the induction hob with empty cookware.
●
Do not use abrasive detergents such as emulsions,
●
cream cleaners, polishes, etc. for cleaning the hob.
They may remove the graphic information symbols
such as markings, warning signs etc.
Do not use steam cleaning equipment to clean the
●
appliance.
The appliance is not intended to be operated by
●
means of an external timer or separate remote-control
system.
The induction hob is sensitive for spot impacts caused
●
by i.e. a bottle with seasonings, salt-cellar, etc.
Sugar may react with the hob leaving non-removable
●
stains. Always remove all sugar stains from the hob
immediately as they occur.
Do not place aluminium or plastic items on the hot hob.
●

Risk of injury
Never use the induction hob to heat rooms or liquids
●
and materials that are harmful or volatile etc.
Never use the appliance for heating sealed canned
●
food. There is a risk a can may explode on heating. At
any rate, remove the lid before heating.
Never cook food products in aluminium foil.
●
Do not place any metal items, such as knives, forks,
●
spoons, lids, on the cooker, as they may become hot.
There are a lot of small objects that can be identi
fi
ed
by the appliance as an induction vessel. In such case
the induction hob will start to heat and distribute the
heat on the objects placed on it.
If the surface of the hob is damaged, unplug the
●
appliance to avoid the risk of electric shock.
Do not operate the appliance if the power cord is
●
damaged or if there is visible damage to the housing.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
●
the manufacturer, a service agent or a quali
fi
ed person
in order to avoid a hazard.
The appliance can only be repaired by quali
fi
ed
●
service personnel. Improper servicing may pose
serious hazard to the user.
In the event of a voltage drop all settings and
●
indications shall be reset. Please take all necessary
precautions as the cooking zone heated-up before the
voltage drop shall not be controlled by the indicator.
In case of defects please contact a quali
fi
ed ZELMER
●
service centre.
Some elements become hot when the hob is
●
operated.
Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance. Risk of
●
burns! Allow the appliance to cool before cleaning
After you have
fi
nished using the appliance, turn off the
●
heating zone using the control buttons and do not rely
on the readings of the vessel detector.
The induction hob may be dangerous for a person
●
who has a pacemaker or other active implants.
